Dubbed ‘The Mighty Motivator’ by Chris Evans, Rob Hosking is an international TEDx motivational speaker and former front-line Police Officer, renowned for his ability to inspire teams and leaders to adapt in fast-changing, high-pressure environments. With years of experience responding to unpredictable situations, Rob has developed a deep understanding of how individuals and organisations can thrive in the midst of uncertainty. His unique perspective stems from his time on the front lines of policing, where no two situations were the same, and quick thinking, adaptability, and resilience were essential.

Rob’s talks focus on the key principles of managing change and building resilience, helping teams develop the skills needed to remain adaptable, calm, and solution-oriented when faced with challenges. Drawing from real-life, high-stakes incidents, he translates powerful frontline lessons into practical tools that businesses can apply in times of pressure and rapid change.

After silently battling his own mental health struggles during his policing career, including PTSD and depression, Rob now speaks openly about the dangers of never opening up. His story is a raw and relatable insight into what happens when people suffer in silence, and how it’s possible to come back stronger with the right support. He uses these personal experiences to break down stigmas and spark important conversations around mental health, trauma, and emotional wellbeing.

Through his talks, Rob champions the importance of creating psychologically safe cultures, environments where people feel safe to speak up, support each other, and bring their whole selves to work. He has featured on the likes of the Chris Evans Show and GB News sharing about his experiences with mental health challenges and trauma. Many organisations seek out Rob to speak openly and honestly about mental health in the workplace as a result.

What sets Rob apart is his ability to balance intense, often difficult subjects with humour, humanity, and hope. He weaves personal anecdotes from his time in uniform with practical insights into leadership, teamwork, and adaptability, making every session both impactful and deeply human.

Trusted by organisations such as the NHS, Kellogg’s, London Stock Exchange, Heathrow Airport, Parker Meggitt, McDonalds and many more, Rob’s down-to-earth style, real-world experience, and motivational delivery make him a sought-after speaker for teams who want to perform under pressure, while looking after their people in the process.

Whether speaking at international conferences or internal company events, Rob’s message cuts through. He inspires audiences to think differently, act courageously, and build environments where both people and performance can thrive.

Rob Hosking’s most sought-after keynotes

999: How Do We Perform Better Under Pressure

Pressure is something we all face, but what happens when it’s constant, intense, and unavoidable? From life-or-death decisions to facing trauma head-on, I share gripping stories from the frontline and the tools I’ve learned to stay calm, make better decisions, and come out stronger.

This keynote blends real-life experience with actionable strategies relevant to any high-pressure environment helping people feel confident in uncertainty. Within it, I share my signature concept, What’s In Your Vest?, inviting audiences to reflect on the skills and mindsets they need to carry with them every day.

Your Mental Health Wake-Up Call

This keynote is a compelling exploration of the critical intersection between mental health and the professional environment. Throughout the presentation, Rob will delve into the understanding of mental health sharing his own personal story of poor mental health and a suicide attempt. He will explore the idea of breaking down stigmas and recognising its profound impact on overall wellbeing.

The keynote emphasises the creation of a compassionate workplace culture, led by transparent and supportive leadership. Practical tools for building mental health awareness and implementing supportive policies are shared, empowering employees to proactively address mental health challenges.

The Frontline Formula: How to Adapt and Overcome Anything

In this keynote, I will guide your audience through a journey of overcoming adversity and cultivating resilience in the face of challenges. In policing, every item on my vest had a purpose, a piece of kit to help me handle unpredictable, high-pressure moments. Today, I use that same idea to help teams think differently about adaptability. It wasn’t the tools themselves that helped me adapt, it was the skill sets they represented.

In this keynote, I share stories from the frontline and introduce my signature concept, What’s In Your Vest?, inviting audiences to reflect on the skills and mindsets they carry to handle change, pressure, and uncertainty. This talk blends real-life experience with practical strategies to help people stay flexible, resilient, and ready for whatever comes next.

“Welcoming Rob to Havering was a delightful experience. Recently, we collaborated with Rob to host a talk as part of our Men’s forum. The talk was inclusive for all staff within the organisation, and it’s safe to say that everyone who attended was equally impressed by Rob’s fantastic presentation. Rob has a remarkable talent for sharing his personal experiences openly and respectfully. Prior to the talk, after discussing my goals with Rob, I can confidently say that he successfully encouraged staff to be observant of signs indicating someone is struggling and to ask about their wellbeing. Meeting Rob and hosting the talk was a genuine pleasure, and I look forward to the possibility of our paths crossing again in the future.”

Ross Marshall, London Borough of Havering

“I had the pleasure of listening to Rob one morning at the LSE. I didn’t know he was going to be speaking and it was a pleasant surprise. His talk stood out from the rest and was the kind of cognitive diversity that Matthew Syed talks about. I have a good friend who’s in the force. We rarely talk about work and Rob’s stories reminded me of the brilliant work our police do and their utmost resilience in the face of daily challenges and adversity. In order to perform well, you need to take care of yourself. Get Rob in to talk about T.R.U.S.T.”

Neil Shah, London Stock Exchange

“Rob was fantastic – speaking with such authenticity and charisma, you could hear a pin drop during Rob’s speech. Rob finds a unique balance of humour, depth and rawness in his speaking which lands brilliantly for an audience, delving into tricky topics in an accessible manner. Rob is honest and down-to-earth and this comes through when he speaks. We have had a huge amount of feedback on how great Rob’s speech was and many have taken away huge lessons, so thank you to Rob for helping shift the dial on the important issue of men’s mental health. “- Heathrow’s Altitude Network

“Rob spoke virtually for suicide awareness month in Rochester, Minnesota for Olmsted County. Our agency employs a combination of front-line and non-frontline workers. It did not matter that Rob was virtual halfway across the world, the compassion for others emanated from his words. His experience as a police officer, how it affected his life, and how he got to where he is today was inspiring. Rob’s experience and vulnerability opened a real conversation about self-care, how to ask if others are okay, and how to get help for people experiencing suicidal thoughts. The staff at Olmsted County were vulnerable sharing their losses, how they helped others, and how they will take better care of themselves. Thank you, Rob, for your touching talk, that our jobs make us even more human, and it’s a priority to care for ourselves.”

Glenda Vian, Olmsted County, Mental Health Professional
