Costas Markides

Costas Markides holds the prestigious position of Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and is the Robert P. Bauman Chair of Strategic Leadership at the London Business School (LBS). With a long and esteemed tenure at LBS since 1990, he has served as the Chairman of the Strategy Department for six years and been a member of the Academic Board of Executive Education for four years. Additionally, he contributes his expertise to various academic journals as a member of their Editorial Boards. Notably, he served on the Board of Directors of the Strategic Management Society (SMS) for six years from 2013 to 2019.

Originally from Cyprus, Costas Markides pursued his education in distinguished institutions, earning his BA (Distinction, 1983) and MA (1984) in Economics from Boston University, followed by his MBA (1985) and Doctorate (1990) from the esteemed Harvard Business School.
