Fons Trompenaars founded Trompenaars Hampden-Turner Culture for Business, a prestigious consultancy and training organization focused on international management. Fons co-founded Trompenaars Hampden-Turner (formerly Centre for International Business Studies) with Charles Hampden-Turner. They introduced concepts like Seven Dimensions of Culture and Dilemma Reconciliation philosophy, benefiting international businesses like Shell, BP, and Philips.
Currently, Fons holds key roles, including co-Director at the Servant-Leadership Centre for Research and Education, advisor to institutions like Webster University Leiden, and faculty at the Global Institute for Leadership Development. He’s authored 13 impactful books, including bestseller “Riding the Waves of Culture.” Noteworthy accolades include the ASTD Research Award and induction into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame.
Fons’ journey began at Royal Dutch Shell Group in 1981. He earned degrees from the Free University of Amsterdam and the Wharton School. His enduring influence is evident in his recognition as one of the top HR Most Influential International Thinkers and induction into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame.
