Jennifer Borrero is an international keynote speaker, housing developer, and UN Ambassador specializing in social impact, NextGen leadership, and sustainable community development. Her work sits directly at the intersection of public policy, strategic storytelling, and physical real estate development, driven by the core belief that where and how societies build directly shapes who gets to belong.

Her path to global advocacy was far from conventional. Raised in a first-generation American household, Jennifer pursued a traditional trajectory toward stability, equity, and corporate achievement. That pursuit led her in 2020 to Wall Street, where she worked at the world’s largest asset management firm. Although successful on paper, she felt a profound disconnect between corporate finance and the ground-level social impact she felt called to create.

Choosing purpose over predictable corporate advancement, Jennifer walked away from Wall Street with no immediate safety net. She immersed herself in grassroots service, volunteering with organizations serving individuals experiencing homelessness. What began as direct community service rapidly evolved into systemic advocacy. She began attending municipal planning meetings, collaborating directly with local residents, and analyzing how urban housing policies directly impact marginalized populations. Her ground-level work quickly gained international recognition, leading to an invitation to speak at the United Nations about sustainable community development.

Today, Jennifer translates those experiences into systemic solutions. As the founder of the Youth Housing Coalition, she equips young leaders to navigate real estate development, urban planning, and civic policy. As CEO of Common Ground Development, she leads sustainable, equitable housing projects across Atlanta and Mexico, proving that affordable development can coexist with environmental resilience and economic viability.

Her authority on global stages is backed by recognized leadership awards. Jennifer has been named a Hispanic Executive 30 Under 30 honoree for Social Impact and received the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition NextGen Leader Award. She currently serves as a Global Ambassador for the United Nations Association, holds a Master’s degree from Georgia State University, and has delivered acclaimed TEDx presentations on the future of housing equity.

Where We Meet: How to find common ground that turns ideas into action

In a world full of ideas, opinions, and constant input, the real challenge isn’t knowing more, it’s doing something with what you already know.

In this keynote, Jennifer Borrero introduces a powerful reframe: meaningful change doesn’t start with perfect alignment, more information, or permission, it starts at the intersection of where you are, what you care about, and who you’re willing to become.

Drawing from her journey from Wall Street to global advocacy, Jennifer shares how she learned to stop waiting for the “right moment” and start building in real time, whether that meant speaking up in rooms where she felt underestimated, launching initiatives without a roadmap, or navigating complex systems to create impact.

Through a mix of personal storytelling, sharp insights, and practical frameworks, this keynote challenges audiences to move out of passive consumption and into active creation. Participants will learn how to get clear on what they actually want, take immediate action without overthinking, and build momentum by learning through doing, not waiting.

More importantly, Jennifer explores what it means to lead from the middle, to find common ground across differences, bring others into the process, and turn individual action into collective impact.

Audiences will leave with a renewed sense of clarity, urgency, and ownership—ready not just to think differently, but to act, build, and lead in a way that creates lasting change.

Pressure of a Dream: How to turn pressure into power

What is the American Dream? Can I achieve it? Am I worthy of it? Does the American Dream even exist?

These questions are what both haunted and inspired Jennifer for years to seek a deeper meaning. The only person in her family born in the US, she always felt the pressure to succeed in America, while also living up to the expectation of being a woman in a traditional Mexican family.
